Our Glass Workers
Cariad Glass
Llandysul
Cariad Glass is based in the small market town of Llandysul, and produces a wide range of glass gifts, mirrors, bespoke glass panels and offer both commission and restoration services.
Owners, Justine and Chris Dodd, work primarily with sheet glass and lead, but also use copper foil, some fusing work, sandblasting and kiln-fired painting in their work.
Chris has been working as a stained glass artist since 2002 and has worked on commissions for clients across the UK as well as further afield – Australia, New Zealand, America and even The Bahamas! His work has also featured in video form at the V&A Museum.
Along with wife Justine, they also offer tuition to small groups of people who would like to try their hand at the ancient art of stained glass, or perhaps improve existing skills.
GrayJean Glass
Ammanford
Gary & Jane are GrayJean Glass. They produce hand crafted lampwork beads from their studio in Ammanford and also delicate polymer clay designs. Each bead is made from a carefully selected mix of glass and fused into a unique bead which Jane then makes into one-off items of jewellery. Gary is also a professional photographer.
Moriath Glass
Llandysul
Working with various warm glass techniques, Moria layers the glass with powders and paint, and often incorporates leaves and printed or stencilled designs. Layers of glass replicate the layers and strata of the land – hills, skies, beaches, rivers and seas around her in west-Wales.
